Emotional neglect is harder to recognize than you might think. 🌱
It’s not always obvious, and it’s often not something that’s actively “done” to us.
Instead, it’s the lack of emotional support, validation, or connection that leaves us feeling unseen or misunderstood.
Over time, this can affect how we see ourselves and how we navigate relationships.
But here’s the truth: It’s okay if you didn’t recognize it at first.
So many of us don’t realize we’ve experienced emotional neglect until later in life.
It doesn’t make your experience any less valid.
