Why is Gratitude Important?

 


Gratitude matters to our mental health because it allows us to recognize the good in our lives. While acknowledging good things does not negate the presence of bad things, gratitude does give us a reason to feel happier.

Everyone has the power to boost their happiness by practicing gratitude. Try naming three things you are grateful for each night when you go to bed and each morning when you wake up. Over time, you may find that this practice improves your overall mood!
