Prepare for Therapy

Okay, you’ve made the first step and scheduled your first appointment with a therapist. But…now what? You might be feeling a sea of emotions…like overwhelm, hope, nervousness, eagerness, and even self-doubt. All of these are normal and okay.

One way to support yourself is to prepare for your session. You can do this by…

  1. Making a list of all the things you think you would like to talk.
  2. Think of some goals you would like to see yourself reach as a product of going to therapy.
  3. Allow yourself to be okay with whatever is coming up and give yourself compassion.

We want to remind you that you’re doing the best you can with where you’re at and that is PERFECTLY OKAY!
