During the vulnerable phase after the end of a relationship, you may be tempted to dive into something new. Think deeply about the consequences before entering a "rebound relationship" with an ex or new lover.
💙 Seek social support.
Your friends and family play an important role in helping you get through challenges such as breakups. Take time to connect with them in pandemic-safe ways, such as a virtual coffee or lunch date.
💙 Practice self-care.
After a breakup, self-care is essential. Not only should you take time to slow down and relax, but you should also make time for "boring" self-care, like keeping up with your daily eating, sleeping, and exercise routines.
💙 Consider therapy.
Everyone can benefit from having someone to talk to after the end of an important relationship. Seeking therapy after a breakup does not make you weak or any less independent.
