7 Types of Rest

 


Did you know there are different ways to rest?

  1. Sensory Rest - unplug or do a digital detox and sit in silence.
  2. Social Rest - balance time alone and time with others. Consider assessing relationships that aren’t supportive.
  3. Emotional Rest - talk with a friend journal, or engage in self-reflection
  4. Physical Rest - Take a nap, practice deep breathing, stretching, get a massage, or take a bath.
  5. Mental Rest - engage in meditation, say affirmations, schedule breaks throughout your workday.
  6. Spiritual Rest - practice a ritual like prayer, read scripture, or spend time in nature.
  7. Creative Rest - play, dance, paint, or write.
