7 Types of Rest
Did you know there are different ways to rest?
- Sensory Rest - unplug or do a digital detox and sit in silence.
- Social Rest - balance time alone and time with others. Consider assessing relationships that aren’t supportive.
- Emotional Rest - talk with a friend journal, or engage in self-reflection
- Physical Rest - Take a nap, practice deep breathing, stretching, get a massage, or take a bath.
- Mental Rest - engage in meditation, say affirmations, schedule breaks throughout your workday.
- Spiritual Rest - practice a ritual like prayer, read scripture, or spend time in nature.
- Creative Rest - play, dance, paint, or write.
