Sitting with uncomfortable emotions starts with:

πŸ’› Noticing the unpleasant sensations. Where and how do you feel this emotion in your body?
πŸ’› Identifying the thoughts you're having about these emotions. What makes them so intolerable?
πŸ’› Naming the emotion you're feeling. Giving your emotion a name takes away much of the shame and discomfort
πŸ’› Refocusing attention on the body and the breath, rather than running with your unhelpful thoughts
